Trading Interstates for Better Downtowns

Great article here. It's a growing trend.

Looking around the country, it would be hard to find a better candidate for such a project than our situation in front of the Arch.

On the other hand, few subjects raise so much heated controversy. If you've ever worked on traffic issues, you've heard it before: "Do what you want - just don't mess with my commute!"

If this is going on in so many other regions, why is there so much silence around this issue in St. Louis?

We will not move that interstate. I would love for it to happen, but this state is not progressive enough. Missouri has proven that it will do anything in its power to discredit and hate the city.
