Why not use window stickers?

Missouri's peel and stick license plate renewals are notorious for the way they are so often stolen from your car's plates.

Why not give driver's an option of having a sticker on the inside of your rear window?

So the thief will smash your window and take your sticker so it ends up costing you alot more then the replacement fee from the DOR?

Hardly comparable. It takes a thief no time to peel off a sticker from your license plate and there are thousands of those all over the place.

It's a lot more work and higher risk to break into someone's car for the same thing.

They do this in Mexico, except the decal inside the window matches the # on the exterior plate. It keeps people from stealing stickers.

In Texas, the stickers are on the front window. None on the plates.
