In the Street

If the lines at Starbucks are any indication of the vibrancy of downtown, this might be the week we passed the "tipping point" in terms of reaching critical mass in downtown STL.

All this week, customers have been lined up ten deep on the sidewalk to buy a cup of coffee at the 6th and Olive Starbucks location.

There's another huge convention in town. I spoke with the manager of Breve yesterday who informed me that this week there is a convention of 18,000 mathematicians.

Yeah, I ran into some fun female math geeks at City Grocers earlier in the week.

Maybe it is time to start opening up a Starbucks across the street from a current Starbucks...
