Predictions for 2008

With 2007 drawing to a close, now is a good time to make predictions for the year ahead. What are your predictions for St. Louis in 2008?

Here's a few to get things started:

The Cardinals will finish the year below .500, and worse yet, they will finish below the Cubs.

The Blues will make it to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

A national housing trust fund will be created to promote affordable and green housing development in established communities.

The population of the City of St. Louis will continue to increase.

St. Louis will attract immigrants at an increasing rate.

The St. Louis housing market will see improvement faster than the nation as a whole.

Any others?

I like your last one, Greg. I'll admit, by the end of his playing days here, I was not one of Warner's biggest supporters.

Did anyone see the highlights from yesterday's Rams/Cardinals game? The interception return play by the Cardinals for their first TD of the game had to be one of the funniest plays/low points of this dismal Rams' season.

The Rams players, attempting to tackle the Cardinal player on his TD return, looked just awful.

They were running into each other, missing tackles, spinning around and falling down. It had to be one of the most embarrassing plays for an NFL team all season.

The rest of your predictions are a good list. Let's see what happens!

The Mayor's Office has some interesting predictions for St. Louis. The link below shows predictions for 2008, as well as past predictions for 2006 and 2007.

Not too shabby a track record, either
