STL - Civic Engagement

One of the best things about St. Louis is how accessible our public realm is. If you want to become active in public life, St. Louis is a place that offers everyone multiple points of entry.

Whether in neighborhood organizations, elected office, or nonprofit groups, there are countless opportunities for citizens interested in making St. Louis a better place to get involved.

Hmmmm, not so sure about "elected office" being an entry point to civic involvement in this town --- the political machine keeps those limited.

Metropolis is always looking for people to run for elected offices.

Relatively few of the 28 members of the Board of Aldermen had held elective office before running for and winning their current seats -- so that seems to be a good point of entry for those wanting to get involved.
