STL Rising: Unfiltered FYI

Since reader comments on the Market at McKnight development in Rock Hill are continuing, STL Rising is bumping this post to the top of the page.

The original plans for this development included a large fountain at the south-east corner (Manchester and Rock Hill Rd.). Novus is now backing out of constructing that water feature, supposedly because one of the tenants wants that "green space" paved over. Is it more than coincidental that the fountain's removal comes on the heels of a cooling relationship with the city? Browne wouldn't be vindictive, would he?

Maybe Target will put something nice across the street, like they did at the Brentwood Promenade. Novus probably doesn't have the money for a fountain.

Browne isn't vindictive, he's just delusional. He sees himself as a savior and won't acknowledge opposing views. He is widely hated, but should be pitied, for he truly believes all that he espouses.

Rock Hill found itself stuck with Novus before the whole Sunset Hills disaster went down. They've backed out of letting Novus do a bigger development on the other side of Manchester. While there's brick and mortar on the ground, the site seems pretty deserted much of the time. Hopefully not a harbinger of things to come once it's finally done!
